On Friday, June 6th, 2008, ground was officially broken for the creation of a new softball field at the
Wayne Industries facility. This field will be used by the youth and adult Special Olympics teams!! Both teams
hope to continue their winning ways since both earned State Championship titles in 2007!!
A special thanks goes
out to the 105 individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, non-profit organizations, service clubs, community groups
and agencies who contributed over $27,000 to construct the field and add fencing, a storage shed, dugouts and bleachers.
