Wayne Industries Re-Grand Opening Celebration!

Numerous State Representatives, elected officials, parents, Board members, staff and consumers attended the Re-Grand Opening of the Wayne Industries facility on March 23, 2009.  The interior of the facility was recently renovated to include new flooring, lowered ceilings and enclosed training spaces in the Adult Training area and the Senior area.  Tours were provided by staff and consumers to highlight the new areas.

The Darke County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MR/DD) is responsible for managing the programs that serve Darke County, Ohio, citizens who have mental retardation or developmental disabilities.  Services provided by the Darke County Board of MR/DD include:
  • Early Intervention Programs (for children birth through two years old)
  • Special Needs Preschool Programs (for children ages 3-5)
  • Adult Services (for persons ages 16 and over)
  • Community Services (residential services, waiver services, service and support administration, Family Support Services)
  • Support Services (occupational and physical therapy, speech therapy, transportation services, nursing services)
